Canadian History 11
Introduction
Canadian History 11 addresses the study of Canadian history
through the examination of continuing persistent questions that have shaped the
development of Canada:. These questions are addressed through the following
five themes:
- Globalization: What has been Canada's place in the
community of nations, and what should Canada's role be?
- Development: How has the Canadian economy evolved in
an attempt to meet the need and wants of Canada's peoples?
- Governance: Have governments in Canada, past and
present, been reflective of Canadian societies?
- Sovereignty: How have struggles for sovereignty
defined Canada and how do they continue to define Canada?
- Justice: How has Canada struggled for a just and
fair society?
Canadian History 11 has been developed with an
outcomes-based framework. The Canadian History 11 Website combines
the desired outcomes for Canadian History 11 with the Web resources that can
support them.
Note: The Outcomes listed on this Website have been
taken from the Nova Scotia Canadian History 11 Implementation Draft
May 2002. Please
